Purpose of the Association:
The Association, which is a non-profit organisation, has the following main focuses: (1) To make understood W.A. Mozart as a European personality, to document his historical stays in many music centres of his time and thus to arouse interest in Mozart and deepen the knowledge of him. The W.A. Mozart Ways are to be revived and open to the general public as a cultural-historical offer. (2) To ensure closer co-operation between the European Mozart cities and geographical Mozart regions, which have been demonstrably travelled to or documented, as well as their inclusion in artistic, cultural, pedagogical and scientific fields, especially in the field of music, as well as the promotion of joint projects of the members in a way that is informative for the general public. In the context of this comprehensive task, it is primarily intended to serve the works of W.A. Mozart and to open up Mozart and his contemporaries to the general public, even within the realm of contemporary art. Activities and products all have a common corporate design. The common labelling is particularly useful for a uniform reference to those buildings which have an authentic Mozart reference. (3) Co-operation and the promotion of joint projects of the members. If possible, these should be regionally balanced taking into account historical and contemporary aspects.
