Mozart sweetened the waiting time at the airport

Six musicians, two dancers and a puppeteer – this extraordinary scene presented itself Thursday to the passengers in the waiting area of the Salzburg at the airport. Sounds of the “The Magic Flute” and a danced interpretation shortened the waiting time for the passengers. A successful action of the foundation Mozarteum.
“Since the delay of 15 minutes of my flight to Rhodes no longer bothers me, said a waiting passenger about the successful presentation of the Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg. On Thursday afternoon until late in the evening the artists attracted the attention of the passengers at the check-in, arrivals and waiting area with music by Wolfgang Amadé Mozart. The airport is indeed named after the famous son of the city. Excerpts from “The Magic Flute” and “Bastien and Bastienne “, five contretances and six Ländler dances have been performed. In addition, there was the show by puppeteer Nils Fuhrberg from Berlin, who interacted with the audience with his fluffy rat and stories related to the location told. The little passengers could not to release from the rodent and the parents had to take care not missing the bording.
The spectacle was an action to promote the Mozart Week (from 24 January to 3 February 2019). For the first time the artistic director of the music festival is Rolando Villazón. Before that, however, all sorts of other events are coming up: “Our, for example, seasonal concerts that run all year round, the ‘KlangKarton’ and not forgetting our open house on Sunday, September 30th to mark the tenth anniversary of the children and youth program”, says Antje Blome-Müller from the Mozarteum Foundation.
