In the run-up to the 250th birthday of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the “European Mozart Ways” (EMW), a cultural network initiative of SalzburgerLand, connects towns, cities and sites in ten European countries where Mozart visited. Since 2004, the EMW have been a certified cultural route of the Council of Europe.
The network covers projects and co-operations in four areas:
- Art and culture (cultural heritage)
At the annual general meetings of the association, joint projects and co-operations are worked on. The bringing together of different competencies and approaches on the subject of Mozart is continuously rich and productive. The complex personality of Mozart and his great, world-wide significance are repeatedly a big incentive to come together.
An exemplary European initiative.
